Since 2020, the band has had to suspend live performances for two and a half years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Steven Tyler's rehabilitation, but in July 2022, they launched the 50th anniversary special project "50 Years Live!: From the Aerosmith Vaults" to signal their revival. As the concert title suggests, the band's first live performance since the pandemic was held in two shows, and the first day of the show, held in Bangor, Maine on September 4th, was recorded in full from the digital audience master. Although Joey Kramer was absent due to a family tragedy and drum technical John Douglas played the drums instead, the other four members, including Steven, were extremely energetic and performed one after another, mainly their signature numbers from the past, making it a truly best set.
